The new incredible superlight Speedcell battery that produces 1.8 amps per gram of weight.
The SBK battery is a 240 Amp Battery, weighs 1.7 lbs.
It's durable: Less than 10% total capacity loss per year.
No maintenance:
The Speedcell battery requires no maintenance charge; furthermore, SpeedCell does not recommend using chargers of 2 amps or less because trickle charging at low voltage will actually increase the internal resistance of the battery by altering its internal chemistry. The battery will typically lose no more than 10% voltage per year left unattended. If the battery does discharge, per the included instruction sheet, use a 5-25 amp charger on normal lead acid charge mode.
5 amp @14v or less for 30min
25 amp @14v or less for 15min
Safe: These packs are made using A123 cells. The constructions process is proprietary & these packs do not require balancing. The packs are built for motorcycle applications w/ cylindrical cells due to there robust construction & discharge properties. Each PACK is made to a DoD standard, capable of withstanding 100G load, operating temperatures of -50*C to 49*C (-58*F to 120*F). It is important to understand that these packs are NOT RC hobby type packs & their internal construction as well as cell grade reflects this. Each cell is individually tested before it makes it to the construction phase. These packs are not Lithium ION construction. Speedcell uses Lithium Ferrous cells that are not volatile or unstable. They will not rupture when puncture nor produce an energy chain.
Caution: Either remove the battery or avoid having the battery come in contact with water during washing as lithium is hydrophobic.
SUPERBIKE Specs:
- Pulse discharge @ 10 seconds = 240 Amps
- Continuous discharge (MAX) = 140 Amps
- Cycle Life (DoD spec) = 1,000 cycles
- Dimensions = 10.5cm (L) x 5cm (W) / 4.13" (L) x 1.96" (W)
- Weight = 766.57g / 1.69lbs
- Rating = 4.6Ah
- Applications = Two cylinder engines 600 cc to 1000cc or 4 cylinder 750-1200cc with stock stators as well as Triumph 675 and some singles.
The SBK battery is designed for: Stock engines 600 cc twins to 1000cc with stock stators and compression as well as Triumph 675. The SBK 4.6 Ah battery is also recommended for modified engines under 750cc as well.
*Hard starting motors larger than 900cc with hi compression pistons may need the larger 6.9Ah or 9.2Ah batteries. Bikes with minimal or non-existent (total Loss) charging system will need the larger 6.9Ah or 9.2Ah as well. Check with us for the proper application. Prolonged repeated starting attempts on a smaller Speedcell battery than recommended can overheat and damage the Speedcell battery.
If you get the SBK battery and it takes more than two or three cranks to start the bike, we will upgrade you for the larger battery - just for the difference in cost. We will cover the shipping out to you the 2nd time.

* Options: We have a new "Quick-Release" option for those that need to remove the battery often or would like to use the same battery on several bikes. Quick release batteries will come with a Quick Disconnect plug wired to the battery and a matching Quick Disconnect plug and harness to attch to the stock battery cable using the the original nuts and bolts fron the OE battery.
Additional "Quick-Disconnect" plugs and harnesses are available if you would like to use this battery on several bikes.
We also have a connection kit to make connecting your speedcell to your stock battery cables easier. This works will whether you are using the quick release battery or the standard battery.
The ODYSSEY Ultimizer Battery Charger 6amp is one of the few high amp battery chargers that come with pig tails that allow you to charge the battery on the bike.
